Despite the airheads objection to censorship--"loose lips sink ships."
Starting in WW1, all outgoing mail from a combat theatre was censored. Many folks here at hame received letters which had been censored, portions removed with a razor blade. I recall one neighbour, recounting how her husband, overseas, was reprimanded for writing detailed accounts of D-Day preparations. It is difficult to rationalize such stupidity....she couldn't....
