Ack to that, my point was the far end of small arms and the ove-vulnerability of the Griffin. Your point well taken, wish more people had it as tight.
That comes from experience dealing with HINDs.
The Soviet deployed KPVs to engage occupied ridgelines. We placed a high priority on their capture. Despite the prodigious range of a KPV, initialy I instituted a SOP of limiting enghagement range to 500m. First burst neutralized the HIND. A KPV would litteraly rip a HIND to pieces despite it's armour.
Mujahideen approved------they liked being up close and personal.
