you know, its getting time to redefine this crminally responsible defense.. it gets used way too often, and for all the wrong reasons.. maybe it should be switched to deciding punishment, rather than guilt..

If the man knows he is Schizo, and does not take appropriate action while not in a dementia state (does not take meds, does not seek help) then he should be responsible for what he does once in a mania. We know the guy had no clue! He shows up at the US border with a bloody machette! C'mon! Doesn't matter... He is too dangerous to ever see freedom again.
