Ontario needs to pay attention to how BC is leading the country, settling native land claims. Their arogant stance just won't work anymore.

Here we go again. Pay them the money so they'll be quiet for a few years until the money runs out, then we'll have to go through this same song and dance again. First Nations land claims, the gift that keeps on giving. How about we try a less expensive solution, like "go fuck yourselves". Yes, that has a nice ring to it.

You'd think all the handouts and no taxes for the past 140 years would add up to this.

No matter what we say does not matter. The fact is the government will not change because it is not politically correct. We beat them fair and square so get on with it. The way I feel about it "if you want to bitch about it ..pay some taxes like the rest of us " if not too bad. I don't see any of the money from the casinos going to their Canadian friends.

Beat us at what? You think the government makes settlements on these legal matters out of pity? No, its because we'll kick the sheet right off your head if we ended up in court.

I do pay taxes - the way i feel about it is that ignorant losers like you that make all Canadians look bad.

In Saskatchewan 37.5% of the revenues from SIGA casinos go directly to the general revenue of the government of Saskatchewan. 25% of the revenue goes to Community Development Corporations which assist all members of the Saskatchewan community, including sports, health care and culture.

Get a clue.

Pitiful cheer leading aside, how is Ontario the only guilty party in the Caledonia affair? And before you stumble into one of your cry-baby whines (I notice you don't mind taking shots at Derb) FIRST,make sure you know about the particulars regarding the Haldimand tract

I agree we have to be careful BUT lets be realistic, in BC many of the land claim deals involve the "surrendering" of treaty cards and relinquishing of "indian" status. This is the only way it will be over for good. If they piss away the money, too fucken bad, you had it, it was fair and its over now.

This is the only way to move forward, then we can get rid of this government funded racist ministry known as the department of Indian Affairs. Good god, get rid of it!

And Donny, lets be realistic, I am from Saskatchewan and remember about 12 years ago when the gov cut off the funding to 8 bands because of "accounting irregularities"?? It was later found out that the band counsel who all lived the high life were skimming money off the top of the funding.

So it goes both ways. And I know our of the hundreds of bands in Sask, those are just the ones who got caught!

Did they get the funding restored? yup y? because as soon as the governments do anything Indian related they claim racism.

Lets all grow up and move on, I say lets pay but then lets dissolve reserves, and relinquish ALL Indian status of any kind (under the law).

Of course the culture will still be alive, but them we ("non-Indian") won't be paying for it anymore.

Only way it is going to work.

Are the indians trying to kill all your financial infrastructure? ( your buffalo?) of course not! Like what you people done to us. Maybe we should talk about our living infrastructure, Those 60 million buffalo that were almost practically wiped out, represented our clothes, food, tools, everything. Even to barter, trade with other goods. Maybe we should claim that too. Keep it up, all these atrocities you done are coming back to nip your butt.
