Once again "Liberal Justice System" lets the victims down.

Pre-meditated murder, 6 different girls over a span of months. What else would it be?

I agree, score another one for bleeding heart liberals. He got his fair trial, now extricate him from society so that he can't kill again.

In cases like this we need the death penalty.

Who here seriously believes he'll ever see freedom again?

With our "justice" system, are you kidding? Or do you mean in some touchy-feely figurative sense? Because to be honest, I don't think he feels his victims pain. Or if he does, he's some kind of masochist considering he killed over and over and over again.

You think this guy will ever see freedom again? I'll be willing to make a hundred dollar bet he won't.

Sorta like Karla Homolka who everyone thought would never see the light of day.

Once people found out about her deal nobody figured justice would be served and we were right. There is no deal with this conviction. He's been given six murder convictions, and unless I'm mistaken Canada brought in a bill that allowed consecutive sentences for people convicted of multiple murders.

What do these families want----a front row seat to a hang-draw-quartering?

Arrested-charged-tried-convicted-sentenced.

The penalty was predetermined by past governments....

I'm not family and I would like a front row seat to a hang-draw-quartering of this guy.

He is an animal, and thus should be treated link one, put down.

The jury made the right call. The prosecution had a tough enough time to prove Pickton was the murderer, they didn't have anything to try and prove premeditation as required for first degree murder. Regardless this is a moot point whether he was convicted of first or second degree murder, he will never see the light of day ever again. He is going to die in jail, whether it's of old age or at the hands of a fellow inmate is the only question.

2x.

I have the utmost faith that the parole board and Canadian justice system is able to do the dumbest things possible.

My one question is how liberal is the parole system in Canada. That will answer the question of if this killer gets freed to kill again.
