Does South Dakota have the death penalty.

Someone's gonna get fried. Crispy critter style and Dion will have another hissy fit.

I didn't think we could extradite anybody if there's a possibility they'll face the death penalty. What gives?

Even if South Dakota does not have the death penalty, it's a Federal Officer FBI so that's a capital offense right there.

He should get the Death Penalty for sure. (I hope)

South Dakota does have the death penalty, so how is it that we sent them this guy? Why doesn't the supreme court have to give a reason?

Who cares!! He killed 3 people, now he's gonna get what's coming to him.

I love to see these kind of changes in Canada. Bring back the death penalty!!!

I'm starting to like the Harper Government.

First off I can't stand answering to these quotes, it's gayer than Liborachi. (not that I have anything against gays, just stay out of the public parks dudes.)

Of course allegedly. Once he has gone through the trial in the United States and has been found guilty, I hope they setup a nice gurney for him to stretch out on.

1. I belive in the ultimate punishment for taking another persons life, especially one who has been sworn to protect the public such as a police officer or in this case 2 FBI officers.

2. I don't feel that Canadian tax payers should have to flip the bill and house murderers. With the advancement of DNA, and advanced policing I am confident in the CSI's and a jury to make the correct decision.

The Montana fella where they didn't get involved and they have not yet become involved in this case.

...and once he crosses the border into U.S. custody, who says that will not change. :D

We have no jurisdiction of U.S. laws, or maybe I am just being optimistic.

In the US it costs quite a bit more to execute someone than it does to put him away for life. So that argument doesn't fly.

And you're confident? That's nice. No reasonable person should be. We have a long list of wrongly accused in Canada that would have been put to death if it was up to you. There will always be people involved in the justice system. As long as people are involved, there is a possibility of errors or even corruption. I do not trust the government with the right to take my life and neither should you.

As for your first reason, got no problem with that. There just isn't a fool proof system for deciding who gets snuffed.

And as for the guy in Montana, Harper has started down a slippery slope with that one. So now the prime minister decides who's life is worth saving? Bad idea, all they had to do was send a letter and maybe make a phone call.
