When Robert Dziekanski's flight landed and the vancouver international airport, im sure he got off the plane with a bounce in his step not knowing what was just around the corner for him.
Robert was in the process of immagrating from poland to start a new life, but by 130 am he would be dead, seemingly at the hands of the RCMP.
Police claim to have sent 2 pulses through the 40 year old man, who became a person of interest shortly before 130 am.
Robert cleared customs and then made his way to get his luggage.
shortly thereafter securtity called the police into the international arrivals area where Robert was yelling and throwing around chairs.
After the shocks were administered he fell unconcious in 4 minutes. He was dead by the time the parimedics arrived.
So what happened on this fateful evening?
Why did the police, trained in hand to hand combat, equipped with batons and pepper spray "forced" to taser the wayward traveller?
Police claim that they werent able to use any of the above methods to subdue the man because 'too many people were around'.
I dont know how many of you have been to the airport at 130 am but it isnt usually a beehive of activity.
Also, there is a witness who watch the whole situation unfold. she claims the police were much to 'harsh' and also claims she heard the taser being fired 4 or 5 times.
The autopsy reveals that 'no obivious cause of death due to trauma or the natural disease process'.
Mountie spokesman Sgt. pierre lemaitre claims Dziekanski was suffering from 'excited delirium' which the police have used as a saftey blanket for other suspicous deaths.
The excited delirium theroy is extacly that, a theroy, it's vauge meaing seems to mean little more then having a racing pulse. excited delirium has no meaning in either the medical or the psychiatric community.
so what then will be the consequence?
i would like to hope that something will be done about this grossly negligent death but i have and inkling that nothing will happen.
Im sure they will hold some kid of police probe, done by the same organization that is responisble for the very crime itself. then im sure they will have some sort of a cover-up because the police can never commit a crime themselves.
It seems these days when you are given a badge you are also give the powers of god.
i say its time to take the power back.
if you are still reading this im sure that you agree.
