One overlooked aspect is the likelyhood that americans by virtue of their larger volume/market enjoy a better price right off the hop.
I haven't overlooked that, I also don't expect our prices to be the same. However until we started complaining they never really came down at all. The biggest beef I have with this is with the auto manufacturers. I price out a small pickup with 4x4 and it was 10k cheaper in the U.S. for the exact same model. I'm not willing to pay 10k more for anything and I don't like to be given lame excuses for why I should.
