Yes, this is the start of something, but it could be something positive. We could use this to develop closer economic ties with a country that will be rapidly out of debt, and full of consumers ready to spend their hard-earned rubles and Euros.
If this situation is managed correctly, it can be an economic boon to Manitoba and even to the neighbouring provinces and territories of Saskatchewan, Ontario and Nunuvit.
And with more physical traffic up north, more money coming from that traffic and therefore, more tax revenue... well hell,
even the Liberal's would be hard pressed to pull their hands out of THAT cookie jar.
