I thought it was stupid that they lifted the ban a couple of weeks ago (or whenever it was). Too many people are far too irresponsible so the ban is needed.

In an update provided following the Canada Day long weekend, the BCWS said there were 46 new blazes sparked between Friday and Monday and that they received more than 1,000 reports from the public.

Wow, that's a lot of new fires.

Same, I'm surprised it was even lifted in the first place. It's been so dry this summer.
