The ironic thing about this whole kerfuffle is that China has banned/censored dozens of Western social media companies to the point they can no longer operate in China. Yet, the second a nation does that to a Chinese company, tantrums erupt from them.

The ironic thing about this whole kerfuffle is that China has banned/censored dozens of Western social media companies to the point they can no longer operate in China. Yet, the second a nation does that to a Chinese company, tantrums erupt from them.

There are a lot of ironies here. Like the US complaining about China spying on them, with the NSA listening in on the conversation. Or the US complaining about build up in the South China Sea, while running destroyers through waters of other countries it deems 'international waters' while the country considers 'internal waters'. See: North West Passage.

Seems to me, the best way for the US to convince China to play by international law, is to do so itself.

The other indictment charges Huawei with stealing cell phone testing technology from T-Mobile. The heist was the final step in Huawei's increasingly aggressive efforts to learn how T-Mobile's smartphone testing system works.

Yup. Industrial theft. That's the way China has structured their economy though, they can't grow unless they steal from everyone else. If they played by the rules everyone else does, they wouldn't have to do that.

Playing by the rules is in everyone's best interest. Why have rules otherwise?
