Where do you get off calling either one of them racist? The fact of the matter is that Arizona is being overrun by illegal immigrants. Those illegal immigrants look a certain way and speak a certain way. When they get pulled over for a traffic offense, and they can not speak English, it raises some red flags. My wife was not an American. I know about all the hoops one has to jump through to bring someone to the U.S. I had to show years of tax returns and bank statements. I had to sign paperwork stating that if she ever went on public assistance, that I would have to reimburse the government since I was bringing her here. The federal government is allowed to make people stop at checkpoints up to 100 miles away from the borders (or oceans for that matter) and prove their citizenship. You think they are not racially profiling? My white English speaking ass gets a free pass. I just have to say:"American" when I am asked about citizenship. Someone with a more bronze complexion, having difficulty speaking English is going to draw more attention. They get to go through secondary inspection. They get pulled off the bus or train for a harder look. Youtube is full of videos if you don't believe me. The Federal government racially profiles every day of the week. Where is the outrage? The fact of the matter is that the feds do a lousy job of protecting the border states. Border states are in a state of emergency due to the shitty job that the feds are doing. The local people spoke up, and sherrif Joe answered the call. He did what his constituents wanted him to do. If someone is pulled over and they do not speak English there is an excellent chance that they are in the U.S. illegally. The fact of the matter is that an illegal immigrant in the US has much more rights than an illegal immigrant in Canada has. When the police arrest someone in Canada, they cooperate with CBSA fully. The police in Canada do not get to NOT cooperate with CBSA because they don't "feel like cooperating". Canadian police, hospitals, etc. dime out illegal immigrants all the time.

Its like someone sipping champagne and eating caviar on a yaght telling someone drowning in the ocean to relax. They are not drowning. Canada's illegal immigrant problem pales in comparison to just ONE U.S. state's problem with illegal immigration. One U.S. State has more illegals than your entire country. Every province has the ability to involve the CBSA anytime and every time they choose, and yet you want to bitch about a man who did the job he was elected to to do by the people who elected him? I call bullshit!! When all your police departments, jails, schools. hospitals, etc., lose the right to call CBSA, then you can complain about sheriff Joe.
