OnTheIce OnTheIce:
Let's keep the focus on this event.
Sure we can focus on this event, except I was under the impression you didn't want to. Did you not want to talk about all the other events you think are similar?
"Nothing new here. Let's consider all the other stabbings." Was that not your point?
But yeah, we can go back to discussing how this particular case is being shabbily covered if you like.
However if you'd prefer now to discuss:
$1:
Lots of crimes happen all over without all the details filled in. Maybe the media doesn't know them, maybe they do, but it's not a new tactic by the media to filter the news.
We can go there too. You're right, 'lots of crimes do happen all over without all the details filled in.' For example remember that recent one the CBC, CTV and others were pretty much blasting over a megaphone into every household shocked over how a woman had her hijab ripped off while shopping. There was a strong insinuation of racism? In fact lefty politicians were tweeting expressions of outrage.
Then there was crickets from the MSM. Why? Because it turned out the perp was an immigrant herself from the 98% Muslim country of Iran.
Around the same time in a different case the Rebel unearthed something like 2700 emails clearly showing there was a major problem in the Maritimes where local high school students were sharing class space with Muslim refugees some of who looked to be more or less men.
Again, it was crickets from Canada's legacy media.
Starting to see a pattern here? And I know you don't want to hear this, but this business of warping news coverage to appear politically correct is also nothing new. It happened in Europe. It doesn't have to happen here. The first thing we must do to prevent it though is
notice.
