Trudeau is going to tell them "come invest in Canada because..."?

I can tell them why to NOT invest in Canada, especially if you are a high technology firm.

Can't catch any fish if you never cast a line.

They might have to deal with you?

Cant catch a fish if you don't have any real bait to offer.

No, they have to deal with the RCMP, OPP and other various anti-democratic, anti-American agencies. The free market passed them long ago.

Canada has plenty of 'bait'. We are one of the global leaders in innovation and technological inputs. Where we struggle is on the output and market capitalization end of things. Luring a couple of the major tech giants here, would resolve that, as well as resolve some of their issues in acquiring adequate supplies of input.

We offer a low dollar, that's it. If we were the best and brightest, RIM would be Apple, but they aren't.

There's an old joke in Waterloo, "what do you call a tech company in Canada?" "Six months from bankrupt".

We are run by crony capitalism and a near caste system. Let's not pretend somehow all of the technology companies believe they have a better competitive advantage over their competitors by investing in Canadian companies. If they do, I recommend they send over their own U.S based Human Resources and management.

We are one of the most educated populations on the planet. We are also content, stable, creative, and unusually artistic.

Nope, Apple paid better. Which is why they employ so many Canadians. EVen a few that ditched RIM for better opportunities.

Lots of jokes about American beer too. Doesn't stop their craft scene from storming the top ranks at competitions every year.

Sure we are. That's why my born to dirt poor immigrants, that illegally made their way into Canada (by accident, no less), currently employs a large number of Canadians born to Canadians.

Must of missed the caste memo. The crony capitalism one too. Lots of big toes I step on, still here, still stepping.

The only people that think that Canada is 'bad' are those that haven't been anywhere else. We have got our warts, but we tend to admit that we have them, and even try to fix them on occasion. Other places, you wouldn't even get the chance to point out the warts, a second time.

*Whoops*

Canada cant be trusted. Never could, never will be. You are lucky to be around for the tail end of Canada's economic boon.

We had the greatest advantages in history being beside the largest consumer economy in the world, and instead we rewarded low hanging fruit while shunning accountability and expecting that somehow this might lead to he most efficient and vibrant society and economy.

I will do my best to keep the unaccountable busy and keep them spending gobs of money, while at the same time spreading the facts of the threat that the Canadian apparatus poses to our allies. I make no apologies for this, and sometimes even CC the Ivory Tower managers Bob Paulson and Vince Hawkes just to illustrate a level of character and transparency they and their lineage only talk about but never act on. They know the damage that has been done and continues to be done to Canada's reputation. It will only get worse, this is certain. If I were an investor, I would be shorting Canada.

Trudeau would have had to take some very strong steps in a very short period of time to have had any chance of righting this ship.

How goes the battle, eh?

He only thinks there's a caste system because he can't get a job with his grade 8 education.
