2 Cents! Feel lucky Herb. In Edmonton, the price jumped 12 cents overnight. Everywhere. :(

Not at Costco, it only went up a few cents per liter (90.9 cents for regular today.

You should check out Costco, their prices are almost always cheaper than everywhere else.

I wouldn't know, the one I go to in St. Albert always has short lines at the gas station (three cars or less) and I almost always get a spot in the first couple rows, but then again, I avoid the place like the plague on Saturdays and Sundays when it's crazy busy.

Costco Prince George has kept prices down in BC's North almost 2 years now. $1.049 there right now. Only months ago, gassed up there for 74.9
The sad thing is that even though the fire thing might be true, gas stations have used every able excuse to rip us off so long, few believe it. Way to much manipulation in the market.

The "manipulation" accusations usually get debunked whenever the pricing system is investigated. There's nothing illegal about it. Fuel is a private product being produced by private companies. They're not obligated in the slightest to pass down discounts to the end customer when the oil price is low. At this point in time, with the price collapse, they're most likely keeping the fuel prices above normal just because it's their only source of profit now.

Read those stickers on the gas pumps too, people. Depending on where you live forty to fifty percent of the fuel cost is due to taxes anyway. Here in Alberta we're going to be paying up to ten cents a litre more soon from the combined effect of the fuel tax increases the Prentice Tories brought in before their ouster as well as the upcoming carbon tax. Want someone to blame if you are sentimental for the 45-cent a litre days of your childhood? Look at the politicians for that responsibility as much as you do the oil companies.

What about the $0.10 / L tax the Dippers raised since your protest vote.

Yeah, it's all my fault that before the election the Tories and WRA couldn't find their own asses even with both hands and a flashlight.

When the price marches in lockstep at all stations/brands, sure looks like price fixing to me. But in Canada we have such weak laws, the gas companies can do it with impunity.

Holy shit, there were no gas deliveries today and Petrocan hiked its price here another 5c this afternoon. Cuz they could...
To clarify: gas trucks usually come once a week to our town, they were here yesterday and upped the price as I said in the first post. This is a hike on gas they already have.
