Much as I think the Saudis are scum, as was Bush, and that they fund terrorism at least on a private level, it just makes no sense that they officially aided this attack and Bush and now Obama knew about it but didn't do anything. "Well, aw shucks, we'll let y'all have your little terror attack, but we're still buddies, right?" I can't see any US administration doing that. There may have been elements within the Saudi administration that were involved, privately. I would be very surprised tho if no official Saudi action was taken against them if they were identified.

Where is the gain for the Saudi rulers to perpetrate 9/11? Nor can I see two US administrations seeing the gain in covering that up and doing nothing - the political risk would be too huge.

An easier cornspiracy to believe would be that the Saudis and US were both in on it, basically the Saudis doing the Bush regime a solid by creating fear in the US, abrogation of civil liberties, and making a common enemy (Al Qaeda) a target. Just as I've always thought that Bush let Bin Laden slip away because he was more valuable as an alive bogeyman.
