While I don't agree with the theory that if you "identify" as something it always makes it real the fact remains that this is a kids basketball tourney so excluding him because of his real heritage is ridiculous.

If he has a status card then, as far as the Gov't is concerned he's a Native which should be enough for the idiots running the tournament who are denying him entry.

But then again maybe it doesn't have anything to do with bloodlines (read race) and everything to do with sports stereotyping. A black kid playing basketball against native kids might be the problem especially since Jimmy the Greek leaked the secret of why blacks are always better athletes. ROTFL

FFS this isn't Rachel Dolezal masquerading as something she's not to get special privileges. It's just a kid who wants to play in a basketball tournament with people who are very likely his friends.

Ridiculous. :roll:

He should file, this actually a good case for the HRC.
