Well, that will get Iran back on the nuke lists pretty quick.
They should know better.

I don't hold it against them for not wanting their oil sales controlled by the USA. Iran is a sovereign nation and their monetary policy is their choice. Good for them.

Had one of my Tom Clancy/Alfred C. Coppel moments last night. Fantasized that a multi-nation western patriot group clandestinely financed by a secretive still-loyal billionaire used satellite/GPS-guided commercial drones armed with Hellfire missles to attack and sink all the super-tankers in the Persian Gulf. They then used the drones to destroy every Arab/Iranian oil facility on both sides of the Gulf coast. The ZOG American government tried to find them in vain. The entire Arab world collapsed into sheer anarchy, the oil price shot up to $300 a barrel, Wall Street nearly fell apart. But it was all worth it. The US, China, and Europe had no choice but to get off of Muslim oil permanently, a lot of green tech took up the slack, and within a year the West was permanently disengaged from the quagmire of the Middle East. Good to vengeance-dream sometimes when that's all you've got left.

It is however, an awesome scenario for a great book, which of course would be followed by a typical effects-filled Hollywood movie starring all the right peeps.

No, Hollywood would change the Muslims into Germans the same way they did with the filming of The Sum of All Fears because, y'know, racism or something.

You forgot to say that after the entire Arab world collapsed into sheer anarchy, the West had to take in a little over 100 million refugees.

No, no. we just turned the ME to glass. Except of course Israel, we managed to nuke the ME without inflicting any damage on Israel whatsoever. We used the new smart nukes.
