And that is why I live in a place where the wind hurts my face. 8O

You have bears, I'd worry more about them.

I wouldn't. 99% of the time, the bear runs away.

Pythons don't.

Haven't heard of many people killed by pythons in NA - bears on the other hand, don't always run away. Sometimes they run right at you. Me I'd worry more about what awful bugs Fla is likely to have. And the 'gators come right in your yard to eat your pets.

More reasons to live where the wind hurts my face.

Add to that, hurricanes and religious fundamentalists. I'm serious about that latter one. A friend I went to school with for 9 years moved there, and I can't even stand to talk to him anymore because of the judgmental attitude he has now. Must be something in the water. ¯\(°_o)/¯

People who follow their religion, have deep faith, I respect that. When they want to start pushing it on others, or judging others, I lose all respect. If people really did have such deep faith, they would be more secure, wouldn't need to push it on others to validate themselves. I don't know where Christianity and Islam went so wrong - the Jews don't do it, although some of them certainly judge. But that's the US, for the most part, not just Fla.

If I were to live where it's hot, it would be the desert rather than the swamps every time.

Big Python sliding along your boot one night in the Jungle and you will never want to freaking see another one again. I would guess it was around 5 feet long.

You're going to have to trust me on this one.

See! Now one day I was mountain biking in Jasper, and along one trail I encountered a bear happily eating berries from a bush. He stood up about 3m in front of me, we locked eyes and both went *AAAA!* and ran in opposite directions.

I can live with such a creature!

Pythons though, don't give a frak.

Living among some of the realities that liberal Canadians tend to deny even exist at all can do that to someone.
