Not all of this is due to evil employers, just incompetent ones with sloppy paperwork and poorly trained/lazy administrators. You gotta wonder how many millions of Overtime and Holiday pay goes unpaid each year because of this.

Not nearly as many as a report like this would have you believe.

There is a reason this 'study' targeted a very specific number of companies from very specific industries.

They targeted those they have the most complaints about.

Any how, some industries are very tight and by the book, some are very 'lenient'. If they wish to use this data to go after the 'lenient', have at her. If they wish to use this data to portray all business' as bad...they can suck a dick.

Anymore the various laws and regulations are so numerous that I doubt that anyone in North America can merely live and breathe for 24 hours without breaking a law or violating a regulation.

Likewise, I doubt that it's humanly possible for any law officer or regulator to fully grasp every violation that they encounter. I'm sure that of the violations that get noted another hundred violations go unnoticed.

Our laws need to be vastly simplified and then vigorously enforced.
