I didn't realise British Snipers were supposed to be within shouting distance of their targets.

$1: “The round flew almost 1200 metres across the face of the crowd missing them safely. The RPG jumped unfired into the air and the insurgent’s body briefly flew across the ground having been hit by a veteran of long military service, a graduate of the Army Sniper School.” What complete and utter BULLSHIT.....1,200 metres.....had he been issued a megaphone, as his voice surely would not have been heard at that distance...... Another case of bullshit inquiries and lawsuits being filed by the ambulance chasers.... $1: Initially, £57 million was set aside to investigate 152 allegations of unlawful killing and abuse. Since then the number of cases has passed 1500!

And funded by the UK taxpayer. I wonder when our commissions will start.

They have got to be kidding. How PC is that for a sniper to give his targets warnings (and give ay his position).

It's the same idiocy that prosecutes Canadian soldiers for mercy killings of an enemy so the enemy soldier doesn't have to die slowly of sepsis. Do we really have that much guilt because of our superior tactics and training that we have to now give away those advantages in the name of political correctness? A guy hides among civilians and kills soldiers from afar, and allied soldiers must give a verbal warning before letting him know his actions are not viewed as friendly? Fuck that. A bullet in the face is all that's needed, and publicly, as a warning to the others. Insanity. What was the motto of the Canadian Airborne Sniper corp? "Without warning, Sans Remorse."?

Jesus H. Christ on a crutch! What is this, Hollywood cops and robbers? "Halt, or I'll shoot!"
Oh wait it's the Brits, it'd be more like, "Pardon me my good chap, but it appears you're being rather uncivilized and if you don't stop, I shall be forced to write the UN a strong letter of consternation."
Disclaimer: Not making fun of the soldiers, just the idiot ROE they now have to put up with.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Care to provide any proof, or is this just more anti-Harper bullshit from the economist. "More anti-Harper bullshit"? When have I ever posted any anti-Harper bullshit in the past for this to be more of it? You posted what I believe was a moronic, partisan, completely untrue, unfounded speculation against Trudeau. Once you've proven your outlandish claim, I'll support my reply to it.

Actually that case seemed to have a lot of support for prosecution from CKA members. I forget what the verdict was. They probably should have prosecuted, but then found the officer not guilty.
