Of course they can't balance a budget by 2019 because they never planned to rein in spending. Just hand over your wallets and purses right now, the Liberals know better than you how to spend your money.

The updated PBO forecast projects a $1.2-billion surplus this year, followed by a $3-billion deficit in 2016-17. Deficits in the next four years are forecast to fall between $4-billion and $5-billion. These figures do not include money set aside for contingencies.

To confirm, the Liberals were left with a balanced budget and a surplus. If they want to correct the numbers going forward, it's on them.

If the Liberals are able to jump and start on all their other plans now, surely they have enough time to get the books in order.

According to one of Trudeau's economic advisers/consultants, who was on CBC a half hour ago, the CPC isn't responsible for the economy stuttering. However, he did say their economic forecasts were faulty.
