So, if yopu post anti Jewish or anti FN stuff you have to go, but anti Catholic is just fine.

"Some tweets that pre-dated my current role were offensive and do not reflect my views," Dearn said.

No, they do reflect his views, that's why they were tweeted.

Hopefully, this will be a topic of conversation in every church on Sunday.

The NDP were calling for Chris Alexander to be held accountable for something that was pure fiction yet they won't hold one of their to the same standard for something they actually did.

Really, so in two years he's gone from telling the Pope to go F*** himself to realizing the Pope is a just a great guy.
Or did that realization occur AFTER his anti-pope tweet was discovered?

If we're piling up hypocrisy chips, there's a hell of a lot more in front of Catholicism than in front of Mulcair.

The Pope a great guy? What rubbish. We burn effigies of him on bonfires every Guy Fawkes Night.

Funny to see Angry Tom, the guy who's so trigger happy, stand by and holster his weapon when it comes to his own team.

He's always so fast to demand the firing of anyone else but his own team? Not a chance.

They hadn't uploaded DPR 2.0 into him yet. All his views came with that.

Telling the pope to go f*ck himself is not 'anti-Catholic' any more than saying Obama is a lousy President is racist.

Tempest in a teapot.

Now I wonder what the next media-approved outrage will be?

He lacked the conviction to say it clearly.

I would turf him. This is a one-time thing, this election, where all these folks are getting "gotcha'd" by old social media clips and comments. The next generaiton will be used to having been recorded, voluntarily or involuntarily, their entire lives.

Here's a Donald Trump quote that is actually one of my favourite quotes by anybody, any time: "People don't change." get rid of this guy.
