I don't necessarily disagree with the Dippers on this one. If our overall contribution is negligible due to our low numbers and aircraft and antiquated equipment it might not be worth the financial cost of doing it just for the dubious glory of being part of a coalition. This isn't probably the reason why the Dippers are objecting to the participation, mind you. Their objection has less to do with the problems of logistics and a negligible contribution due to having to use long-obsolete planes and more to do with their fucked-up pity-politics they've always had for the dangerous militants of the world.
The reality is today they're isolationists who would have given Hitler a free pass in World War II.
No disagreement there. That's why I keep saying the Dippers will always be mentally and emotionally locked into the 1960's. That was the height of militancy "in the name of the people!" and hard leftists still flock to that banner whenever it's raised in the world, no matter how atavistic and murderous the scum are that are waving it. The Dippers on terrorism are just like that old guy in The Road Warrior who said "this Lord Humungous seems like a reasonable fellow" and wanted to open the gates so he could go out and talk to them.
