You should go and make that point. Wear a fuck christ t and a head dress. then, when they come for your head dress, ask if the fuck christ t is OK. Have cameras rolling as they explain why it is or isn't.

Gotta admit, I don't hang around places where people wear fuck christ t shirts.

Not so much for this festival, but for the Heavy Montreal one, where its all heavy acts. Let's just say those guys don't share the same cultural sensitivity that the festival organizers do.

Just let people wear what they want ferfucksake.

So if a First Nations person wears a headdress to this festival will they confiscate it also?

Someone of the perpetually outraged crowd will be stupid enough to do this, yes.

Interesting. Wearing native headdress is culturally insensitive.

I guess I'll have to ask next native not in a breech cloth and buckskins who's wearing Levi'to take them off since they're denigrating my culture. ROTFL

well, since it would most likely be some young acidfreak teenager who hasn't actually earned the right to wear a war bonnet, then yeah.

how about this: can i start going to parties wearing military medals? almost accurate ones? ones i haven't earned, but have placed my name on anyway? anyone here think that would be okay? constantly going to events? it's okay though, because i'll admit i haven't earned them, or have a damn clue what they even mean, but i'll keep wearing them, because nameste, brother!

you earn a war bonnet. that is the issue here.

Damn, I hate when I've got to agree with the young communist.

Yes, you can.

I can't think of anyone ever getting tweaked because someone is just wearing medals. What tweaks people is when someone wears medals and falsely claims to have earned them and is then trying to get something based on that false claim.

As I recall, Michael Jackson used to wear a variety of medals for decoration and I don't recall anyone taking umbrage at that mostly because he wasn't trying to pass himself off as a veteran.
