beautiful mountain. Did a bit of easy climbing on the apron, that was enough for me. Descent was just by walking down steep slopes - one slip of a foot and you'd be gone. Had a friend who was climbing the grand wall at night, lost her headlamp, which was seen by cars on the highway, with the resulting consternation.
I didn't realize the Chief was 2000+ feet high, always thought it was just 1000 or so. Beutiful views all around, like being in the alpine becausae the top is so bare.
I wonder how the sea to sky condola has affected how busy the peaks get - used to be you could be the only one up there at a given time.
