Like it was ever in any doubt. Even his lawyer all but accepted the guilt of his client and spent most of the trial prepping for the sentencing phase.

Boston Marathon bombers' defiant mother rails against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's guilty verdict in bizarre rant as he faces death penalty

Boston Marathon bombers' mother stood defiant in the wake of Dhozkhar Tsarnaev's guilty verdict Wednesday, declaring in a message to a supporter that her convicted mass-murderer son is 'the best of the best.'

In a text message to her sons' supporter Timur Rudaev, Zubeidat Tsraneav called the convicted killer 'my precious boy' before going on a rant against the US.

'America is the real terrorist and everyone knows that,' she wrote in the text, which was later shared on the Russian social media site VKontakte and sent to the news blog Vocativ.

Rudaev, a resident of Grozny, Chechnya, uploaded Mrs Tsrarnaev's text onto a VKontakte group called Help Dzhokhar Tsrarnaev, which he reportedly launched back in 2013.
The Chechen national told the blog Vocativ Wednesday that he has raised at least $5,000 for Dzhokhar and his family.

Zubeidat Tsranaev's statement was accompanied by Rudaev’s rambling rant about Dzhokhar’s guilty verdict in Boston.

'Today, foolish Americans completely shattered the life of a great guy! Rudaev wrote in Russian. 'But no trial, no jury could trample our opinions, only the Almighty has power over us! Only the Almighty knows the outcome of this trial... we hope the merciful Allah will give Dzhokar a second chance!'
Rudaev went on saying that he hopes that in the near future, Zubeidat Tsarnaev will gather everyone at her home to celebrate Dzhokar's release.
'Everyone will be ruffling his hair and telling him, 'Brother, you persevered, you put the Americans in their place!'

Families of the victims were also present to hear the verdict but there was no celebration after each 'guilty' was read aloud.

"Boston strong: Heather Abbott, who had her left leg severed below the knee near the finish line of the marathon, said she was relieved that justice has been served "

Two who didn't make it

Lets drone strike this dumb XXXX and the rest of her family to hell. She can reconnect with her POS sons in hell, purgatory, the promised land, whatever the hell she believes in. I would have no problem paying higher taxes to help purchase her and her ilk a one way ticket to the after life. The sooner the bettor.

Defense attorney Judy Clarke asked jurors in her closing arguments Monday to keep an open mind during the sentencing phase of the trial, when she will be allowed to elaborate on Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s influence on a vulnerable teenager, and to be open “to what more there is to learn, and to what more there is to understand.”

During the next phase, which is also expected to last about a month, prosecutors are expected to call victims who could testify about how their lives have been irrevocably changed, to show that Tsarnaev’s crimes were so heinous he deserves the death penalty.

US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz looked ahead after the verdicts were read.

“As we enter this next [sentencing] phase,” she said in a statement, “we are focused on the work that remains to be done.”

For once I really hope they don't give him the death penalty.

With his boyish good looks and flowing locks, a lifetime in a federal penitentiary will become nothing more than a living hell for him so, that by the time he ends up dead his ass and prostrate will be so banged up from all that extra curricular activity 72 female virgins will be the last thing he wants to see. I don't want him to get the death penalty just because that's what people like him want so they can be martyrs. Let him be forgotten in prison somewhere and let him die a sad old man.
