Give it another hundred years. 90% of the fish, and of the other animals too, are going to be gone. And from orbit the planet will look more like a tumour breathing through a smokestack than anything else. Get real Ross! This particular salmon as well as a few of his budies were 'rogue fish'. They sneak ashore at night and root through peoples garbage cans for small pieces of plastic they can eat.
