Because Ukraine is not part of nations allied together to perform mutual defense. All we can do right now is economic sanctions against Russia, and non-lethal support to Ukraine.

Because those 'dingbats' are actually Russian regulars (supposedly 'volunteers')who are using Russian equipment and following Russian orders.

If Obama had a pair what he'd do is allow the creation of a 'Flying Tigers' unit of volunteers to fly for the Ukrainians. He could outfit them with planes from Davis Monthan AFB and then let them slaughter the Russian 'volunteers'.

For ten cents I'd go myself. I've wanted a Russian entry in my logbook for 32 years now.

PBS 'Frontline' did a great story on Putin and how that sack of shit came to power. If anyone can watch it on their website, I recommend it.

From the Chatter Box: Belarus is distancing itself from Russia. Today they announced they are 'de-Russifying' their schools by ending instruction in both Russian language and Russian history and instead focusing on Belorussian and Belorussian history with a focus on European (read: Western) relations.

I guess they figured out that they're next after Vladimir Hitler gets done anschlussing Ukraine.
