Bootlegga Bootlegga:
I can afford to live in the States, but I choose not to. I just choose to deal with winter instead of the earthquakes and droughts I would experience in Silicon Valley.
There is no way in hell I'd ever be stupid enough to invest in Phoenix - it and all of its suburbs are a giant dump and the only thing it has going for it is golf, which I don't care for. If the drought continues on the way it has, that will disappear and it will be as livable as the Gobi Desert in a decade or two. The US southwest is a fool's paradise and anyone who chooses to live there deserves whatever happens when the A/C and water run out.
Oh gee silly me! I bought 400 000 in property in 2011 which is now worth a million ! The CAN buck was 1.04 when I bought it all. I now collect 3800 USD in rent every month lol plus my own vacation home which I use. Oh my what a terrible investment. LOL According to the left wing BS that the SW will run out of water! They said the same thing about southern Alberta in 2002...we now have so much water we can't figure out what to do with it!
I'm not sure this makes the post any more relevant to the topic.
