Rehab for fucking Canada Geese? They are like vermin. I'm sick of all these people that spend time and money rehabbing wildlife that isn't endangerd, when that time and money could be going to rehabbing people instead.

Goose is to die for. You'll never bother with turkey, again.

Domestic goose, yes. Although I'll take turkey. Doubt I'd like wild goose.

People aren't endangered either. The money's better spent on the animals.

Can't agree there. I certainly put people above animals. But just from a purely selfish perspective, rehabbing or people, or preventing them from ever needing rehabilitation (ie children) will make life much more pleasant and cheaper for all of us. Rehabbing Canada Geese so they can shit all over the place, not so much. There are many formerly wild animals that have become urban pests. I certainly wouldn't rehab coyotes or raccoons any more than rats.

The grain fed wild geese from the prairies are good but you'd better have a petty good dental plan to eat them especially with the numerous pellets and all. I can still remember spitting out lead pellets after eating a Goose we just shot.

Roast goose tasted great, the lead not so much.

That's why you have to lead them far enough so you head shoot them, either that or aim ahead and well above or to one side to break a wing, then apply the coup de grace on the ground. The worst problem I ever had with pellets was with a nice free range, grass fed roast beef..... 8O
