I was in grade IV at Griesbach Barracks. I remember all the hoopla and celebration at the lowering of the Red Ensign & raising our new flag. I also remember saying to 'Patricia' that it was "all B.S." She immediatly ratted me out to Miss Nichols who promptly 'chewed me out'! I suppose at 9 yrs old my attitude was a direct result of my parents opinions. When my Dad was buried his casket was draped with the Red Ensign as per his wish. I still have that flag.

Dad fought under the Ensign & was quite upset about the change.he said that he would salute the new flag but "only because I have to or I'll end up on charges"!

We put our old, traditional military insignia on a flag. We tricked the tree huggers and they are none the wiser a half century later.

The beaver represents service to Canada, and the Crown, service to the Sovereign. The shield is the coat of arms granted to the province of Quebec in 1868. The fleurs-de-lis emphasize the French origin of the population, the lion on a red background recalls Quebec’s ties to Great Britain and the sprig of three maple leaves is a symbol of Canada.

I've never seen you post a picture of a woman who's wearing clothes, before Raydan.
