Sorry Ontario, but you don't get to say no. This issue is above your "pay grade".

Now get back to pissing away billions!

I wonder if the Cons will actually have the balls to push this through.

Certainly don't have the brains.
It will be found unconstitutional in 3/10s of a second

Ironic isn't it? Since the Ontario govt's objection seems primarily to be about the cost of changing the system for "500" people per year. Yeah, that's 500 BIRTHS, plus at least one parent so now we're up to anywhere from 1000-1500 people. On top of the 300,000 people per year that come here legally, the God knows how many that come here illegally and are permitted to remain and a minimum 10% of the annual global refugee population.

How long can we keep stuffing a few hundred thousand people primarily into one of two cities every year before those cities go bust from overbloat? Where does it end? Next thing you know we'll be handing out citizenships because somebody stayed here for 6 months visiting their aunt's neighbour's sister's best friend's son.

Can you point me to the point in the Constitution that covers that ?

So the NDP hopes. I mean losing will affect their future voting pool.

It's not in the Constitution. The Citizenship act of 1947 allows a person born in Canada to parents who are not diplomats and are both not citizens to be a citizen because of that birth.
