Definitely wouldn't have been a good scenario.....

And that was the problem. Mao being the psychotic manipulator that he was had no love for Stalin and his minion Kim Il Sung so, he would have loved to see North Korea taken out of the picture, even if it meant an American presence for the time being till he could consolidate his grip on China.

It's to bad that McArthur didn't have Jung Chang's book Mao: The untold story to base his decisions on because had he known then what we know now the world would be a very different place.
