What we need is some more homeless people. That's the answer.
They should see no part of the collective public fund that is Canadian tax dollars. Everything they have gotten should be taken "back" so as to satisfy cold conservative hearts.
Kick them to the curb, abandon their ghettos, close them out. "Wait for winter to solve the problem".
$86,000,000 has been spent feeding and housing these people who have their homes condemned (133 total according to the CTV report). That's $646,616.54 per condemned building. Here's a thought...about about you house them for about a year in hotels and such, costing maybe $46,000 per family, and you use the $600,000 to build new fucking homes. Shit, so instead of homeless people (oh and they're still homeless, THREE YEARS ON) it's people living in homes again!
Now, this is government bureaucratic fucktardedness of the highest order. Not the fault of the tribal community leaders, I'll admit. Our government (crossing partisan lines, let's not even pretend this is a uniquely Conservative or Liberal issue). Some of these bureaucracies need some common fucking sense, and maybe a calculator.

Or, since most of you consider the conditions to be naturally ingrained in native consciousness, perhaps more harsh methods of recollecting what has been "given to them for free" can be instituted.
What should be done? What are you asking for, other than the end of all support? What do you expect to happen? Do you feel a cold white shoulder will stir up some gumption in those lazy native hearts?
Ah, yes, we bigoted white people. This gets hilariously ironic soon enough.

Get to the brass tax; you guys see a "Problem" and will only mumble your vague "Solutions"...
I have a perfect solution. All I need absolute political power and a time machine.

Destroy all their councils and governments. Then what? What is the next fucking step? Rid them of their institutions.
What are they to have? How much of this until the accusation of the ulterior motive of destroying what little remains of Native cultures becomes true?
This is like saying Italian and Sicilian culture was somehow broken because the government targeted the Cosa Nostra. It's fucking ridiculous. Is Aboriginal culture truly dependent upon these little criminal fucktards? Is that what's left of Aboriginal culture? See, I thought it was the oral traditions, their history, their food, their faith, their dress, their ceremonies, and their blood. These chieftains and tribal leaders are no different than any other criminal element, preying and stealing from their own people to make themselves wealthy, and they do not give a shit who they hurt to do so.
These shits literally sold condemned homes, WITH THEIR OWN PEOPLE'S POSSESSIONS STILL INSIDE THEM, and did not give two flying fucks about their actual constituents. Quite frankly, I bet you the contents of those condemned homes had more Aboriginal culture, and history, and yet, their own leaders did not give two flying fucks as they probably robbed family albums, historical relics, and religious and cultural attire and objects from their own people.
Oh, but we're the bigots, because we want these corrupt leaders held accountable for fucking over their own people. Sure. Right. Silly me. Here I'm thinking that I'm tired of watching millions of taxpayer dollars being utterly stolen by these leaders from Canadians as a whole (hey, including Aboriginals!), while those same leaders will take the first opportunity to steal from their own people too.

Far too many people here thinking that a new form of instituted poverty wil solve alcoholism and laziness.
Oh, I see, so let's keep the current form of institutionalized poverty, with a yummy helping of corruption on the side. Fantastic. Brilliant plan. It's been working so well...
Status quo is not the solution here. Something needs to be done. Our government needs to hold these corrupt shits accountable, while also using a bit of intelligence when managing the money Canada as a society gives to the various Aboriginal communities.
