It's interesting, because Vancouver originally got Luongo for Bertuzzi and Florida traded Bertuzzi to Detroit for Matthias so it's a circle, I guess.
Maybe this is more about creating cap space, but they still have to pay 800 grand on Luongo's contract. (That's just what they pay next year).
