Should never been allowed to wear it from the start of the trial. A jury and judge should be allowed to see facial expressions during all testimony and not just hers. FFS a nijab is not a religious article of clothing, it is cultural. Nowhere in the Koran does it say a woman must hide her modesty.

Converts to anything are typically the most ardent followers.

Hell, I was born and raised by a liberal Democrat family so I know what I'm talking about!

Wearing something that covers you up completely wont help her out, she already comes into the courtroom trying to hide something. I say wear what you want, if you want to dress up in a bear suit go right ahead. Her choice to not represent herself on the stand is going to hurt her defence and if her conviction carries with it jail time, she wont be wearing it anyway.
