Ya know, while all 3 of the big telecom providers in Canada tend to suck when it comes to how they treat their customers, I've dealt with all 3 of them and quite frankly, Bell has got to be one of the most, if not THE most crooked company(of ANY kind) I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
The fact they committed forgery and couldn't be bothered with the court proceedings indicates, to me anyway, that they've gotten WAY too big for their britches.
It was nice to see Mr. Chitrakar get a half-decent award but I'm struck by the inequality of the justice system. If this has been the act of an individual acting on their own behalf, criminal charges would have been brought against them.
Not only that, but the damages should have been much larger to convince Bell to show up and deal with this - if it had been $21 million, Bell would have shown up. If I was Mr. Chitrakar, I would have tried to use social media to stir up some anti-Bell outrage too.
They will only listen when it hits them where it hurts the most - the bottom line.
