Well, this could become rather interesting...

If Facebook had a deal with this advertising company, to use Facebook images in their advertising, then the fault would lie with Facebook. They are the owners of the images.

If Facebook did not have a deal, and this company just used an image without permission, they could be facing suits from the Parsons family, as well as Facebook.

Either way, I doubt the advertising company meant any harm, they probably don't even know who Rehtaeh is, let alone the circumstances surrounding her death.

I am, however, curious to see how this plays out in the long run.

That being said, this is just another reason, on the rather lengthy list, as to why I don't like social media, as it currently operates.
