Can we suspend their passports from ever returning to Canada? Canadians seemingly are popping up in too many of these types of groups. The attack on the refinery in Algeria, Syria, Afghanistan, and who knows where else are involving Canadian citizens being involved with or committing terrorist acts.

From the CBC report, I was actually suprised not by where, but how many. The mother in the story quoted CSIS as saying it was two or three young men a day leaving for the middle east, for weeks. And that was just from Calgary. 8O The reporter embedded with the Syrian Rebel group said he knew of 10 - 20 Canadians, just from association with that one group!

Not without changing Section 6 of The Charter.

could we 'arrange' for the terrorist scum to meet with an unfortunate accident while away? We really don't need this shit back in Canada.

Best we could do is arrest them as soon as they return.

Which we would never do anyway.

That was exactly the concerns CSIS had. What do we do with returning radicalized men who have been fighting a guerilla war, and what problems will they cause here at home.

Canadians are arrested here in Canada, for going to SE Asia to diddle little children, why can't our courts arrest and charge Canadians who go overseas to engage in terrorism?

Because it's only illegal to do so if they fight Canadian or allied troops.

Novel conclusion from the article is that depsite the US having more muslims Canada has more jihadis than the US does. Seems that Canada does a better job of attracting radical immigrants than the US does.

You may want to fact check that. :)

You may also want to look inside your prison system to see what is coming. :(

We haven't had a 9-11, Shoe Bombers or a Boston marathon style bombing....all attacks carried out by Muslims the American government gave visas to. Seems you've got more than your fair share of radicals compared to us.

Are they committing terrorist acts when they are fighting for the side that our government is supporting? Just throwing that out there.

Yeah, you don't hear the word "terrorist" thrown around much in reference to the Max-Paps.
