I still remember listening to him sing when I went to Oilers games as a kid. He was one of the fixtures of professional hockey here in Edmonton.

RIP indeed.
I don't thnk many anthem singers become as much a part of the team identity as Mr. Lorieau did and we were lucky to have him. Those home games in 2006 really were special.
