I take shit from my co-workers and friends all the time for being Canadian. Thing is I am 44 and know its a joke and send it right back at them with some American slagging.

This however is completely unacceptable.

Or, in this case, they're just a jerk. I don't think people pick on Canadians any more than Canadians pick on other people. Generally it's in good fun, sometimes it's not. No real mysteries here.
