Once saw the nose of the Qu'appelle fixed with some rags, duct tape and ships side grey. It looked okay till it started to rain and then it looked more like the bullring was the nose and it had big multicoloured boogers hanging down.

The tourists in Frisco loved it though.

According to an eyewitness, at about 8:20 a.m. the American Dynasty trawler was leaving a big ship repair dock attached to the base.

Kind of a misleading statement. Graving Dock isn't part of the base nor is it really physically attached to the dockyard (only to Naden).

Tugs had already cut themselves free by this point.
