30% said they would vote for the Liberals, 31% for the Conservatives and 27% of the NDP. Of the remaining parties 6% would vote Bloc Quebecois and 5% would vote Green.

However, if Justin Trudeau were the leader of the Liberals, the numbers would go their way far more favorably. The Liberals would get 39% of the vote, according to the poll. Under that scenario, paradoxically, the Tory share of the vote would also go up, hitting 32%. Taking the biggest hit would be the NDP, which would get just 20% of the vote.

People are pointing out how politically savvy Trudeau has been in this leadership contest. Nobody's touched him, he's signed up a huge whack of supporters and has a very strong organization. He's been planning this run for a long time. Just as with Brazeau, he's surprising people with his staying power. I think any election will still be Harper's to lose, but the longer a govt stays in power, the more the mistakes keep piling up. And there will be Justin and the Libs, likely a plausible alternative again.

I don't know about politically savvy.. He does a lot of dumb stuff. None of it sticks to him for some reason though.

That's because his name is Trudeau and the lefty media lets him get away with it.

If he was a conservative making comments about Alberta over Quebec he would have been tarred and feathered.
