WTF is wrong with people these days? Can't take a light hearted joke that lasted the duration of one Powerpoint presentation?

People need therapy.

The best way to deal with this is to raise the money to send the kids to DisneyWorld and then make sure that not a one of the teachers involved in the stunt is permitted to go along with them.

That's kind of a dick move. I wouldn't do that to my own kids.

Eh...they conduct the prank, which, I'll admit, is a pretty good prank. However, they recorded it, and then showed it to the whole grade 8 population of the school? *Sarcastically claps* Certainly that won't cause ridicule and bullying. I mean, come on. The teachers shouldn't be fired, but they do deserve a bit of a smack in the head for recording it, and playing it to the whole grade 8 student body.

Also, my grade 8 graduation trip was to Quebec City (from Whitby, Ontario), and these kids are only going to a local bowling alley? Seriously, make a trip to Toronto or something a bit more...exciting for these kids? Sheesh.

$1:
A final slide revealed the students were really destined to head to a local bowling alley for their graduation celebration, apparently leaving them devastated.

I call this a good way to prepare them for marriage.

They were punked  a grade 8 grad party 8O. Getting through Grade 8 isn't a major accomplishment. Kids seem to expect rewards for the most trivial shit nowadays.

The only mistake was recording the prank and showing it to other kids - other than that, I'd have no problem with what they did. It's teach the kids a lesson not to go through other people's stuff.

No doubt - my niece's school held a 'graduation ceremony' for the kindergarten class, complete with robes and 'diplomas'. Hell, I didn't even go to my junior high school grad at the end of grade 9.

Maybe you guys missed the whole reason behind the prank: the kids were snooping about in the teacher's desk. If the kids had kept their damn hands and noses out of somewhere they shouldn't have been, the teacher would never have had a reason to plant the materials and ultimately turn it into a practical joke on the kids. Doesn't sound like the kids learned the lesson to stay the hell out of other peoples' private property.

Going through the teacher's desk would have been a serious infraction.....if caught..when we went to school. y parents would have been right pissed at me. I had to phone home in Grade 11 for calling a teacher by their first name....she was my 2nd cousin and we were walking past the office to go home :?

If they said, at the end "And this is what you get for snooping around my desk", then yes, it was well deserved, but recording it and showing it to the rest of the grade 8 student body goes a bit beyond trying to punish the students in a creative way.

Yeah isn't it funny how that part gets completely missed.

People are really stupid these days..
