This reminds me. I ought to go to God's Acre and take some pics of the old RN and RCN headstones. They are fascinating.

The one beside the golf course ?

The early ones up top are very interesting, full of character.


There should be a guided tour at 2pm..


$1:
Veterans’ Cemetery Remembrance Tour 2 p.m. John Azar conducts his annual tour to Veterans graves, with his facinating stories of the people and their times, from the Crimean War to the present day. Meet at God’s Acre Veterans’ Cemetery, access off Colville Road near the Base Hospital. Cost: $2/$5. Details at oldcem.bc.ca or tel. 250-598-8870.
