I know and work with a lot of religions muslims who are very good and decent people who cringe when the hear individuals like this. They just want to live normal lives like the rest of us.
Unfortunately there are far too many people on this planet who feel exactly this way and see nothing wrong with what has been going on in the past few days.

OnTheIce OnTheIce: He sounds so reasonable. The US lets the muslims kill the Jews and then they'll talk peace. And where's the usual suspects who can be expected to utterly ignore what this guy has to say?

Who's ignoring what he has to say? What came out of the religion vs culture discussion was that some people think the supporters of Islamicism (including passive ones) are a small minority - that doesn't mean they ignore the Islamists. Others like me think they are a sizable number but probably still a minority, others think they represent the majority. Maybe some people want to tar all Muslims with the same brush - that would be stupid. I do think the people who think the problem is just a small minority are trying to be too Canadian - "it's just a few rotten apples." I do think however that the passive supporters would give up their support if they saw a better future for themselves without Islamicism. This is where we should be trying to focus in the West. Of course we can't necessarily see a better future for ourselves anymore.

No matter how many times a cleric like this guy will spell it out for them they'll still launch right into fits of denial.

Well, Islam is the whole deal. It's like saying there's something going wrong with Christianity because of the fundies. (I do think, based on proportionate numbers, there's more going wrong with Islam.)

I'm not interested in his message anymore than I am the Mormons, or any other evangelicals of any other religion. Spread your message as much as you want in a peaceful fashion and I'm fine with it. Once you start advocating violence to "educate the noble savage", then you've crossed the line.

Even those who admit there's a problem, they'll fight to the death that it's only a "few" who have these types of views.

*DD contemplates wheter its even worth getting into an argument about Anjem Chaudry, a well know, widely condemned, leader of banned ( and rightly so ) organisations loon with the likes of Bart and all, who like the title of the thread will insist that this one fool ( and his hand full of followers ) is the real voice and representative of over a billion musllms worldwide, even if the majority insist that isn't the case.
Decides its not worth his time, closes the door and leaves !
