Don't attract their attention. The older it is the more likely it is that the place is controlled by a real-life version of the Borg or the Weaponers of Qward or the Event Horizon demons or His Divine Shadow/Lord Mantrid or something else equally awful.

Lexx had some fairly intense psychotic imagery going on in the background. Lots of genocide that got played for laffs. Not that I'd expect much different from a German/Newfoundland co-production, but it was kind of a disturbing show on a lot of levels. Did like how Giggerota won the election for Pope in the last season though. Kind of appropriate with her being a batshit insane cannibal/real estate agent and all.
