I dont see why this would raise red flags, the plants were destroyed by a abnormally severe natural disaster. It's not like the plants fell apart because they were inherently unsafe.

Actually, the plant survived the Earthquake and Tsunami. It was the backup power that got taken out by the tsunami, and that caused the reactor cooling to fail.

I like the idea of Japan with a lot of plutonium just for the fact that it scares China.

Scares North Korea too. I've always felt that it's about two decades past due that the Japanese should have built their own nuclear weapons defense system.
