It's because those who extroverts command people as well as conversations, they are leaders. Introverts are wonderful followers, but someone who cant speak up for them selves is a useless leader.

Introverts are often leaders in innovation. It's not all about "charge, men." We need both types, but to favor the blowhards over the people who might just have something to say if we'd stop and listen is a big mistake. I know that from personal experience - if you take the time to pull out what the quiet ones have to say, you often get some very useful suggestions. But it can be like pulling teeth and frustrating.

If all we had in this world were extroverts, nobody would ever shut up, and nobody would ever listen. What's best is when you get a mix of both... a good boss knows when it's time to be heard but also knows when to shut up and let the others talk.
